As promised, I am getting around to creating more notecards and individual cards in my store. My newest is  a lovely set of 6 Julia Child inspired Bon Appetit cards along with envelopes.  They are designed with a vintage linen as the background, in addition to some of my original hand drawn illustrations, topped off with a vintage red pattern on the bottom.

Apple Recipe

As promised, here is one of my favorite apple recipes, Cinnamon Apple Muffins.  They are yum!

Cinnamon Apple Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 medium McIntosh apple, peeled and grated

  • TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

  • CINNAMON-HONEY BUTTER:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, oil and applesauce. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups half full.
  • For topping, in a small bowl, combine brown sugar and flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Add oats. Sprinkle over muffins.
  • Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
  • In a small bowl, beat the butter, honey and cinnamon until blended. Serve with warm muffins. Refrigerate leftover butter. Yield: 1 dozen.

Apple Love and FREE shipping this week !

Everyone loves free shipping! This week use coupon code: SHIPFREE at my store.

I have had several requests from people that they would really love to see notecards offered at my store. I am so happy to start rolling out new notecards. First off are some lovely 'fresh' apple notecards, reproduced from my original ink/watercolor paintings that I created. Apples are one of my favorite things to bake with. Especially in the fall, I am constantly making apple inspired dishes. From apple pork chops to apple pancakes, apple muffins and of course, homemade apple pie. An apple pie lasts for about an hour in my house before my kids devour it. :)

The cards come in packs of 6, with either 2 of each design included or it can be six of the same design. Available with a large green apple, large red apple or a group of 3. Kraft envelopes or crisp white envelopes are available. The colors are so so yummy!

If anyone has a favorite apple recipe to share....feel free to post.   I'll post mine later, I need to quickly post this before my 2 year old sacks my house.

A lovely lovely Treasury to see .....

I correspond every once in a while with another Etsy seller named Anne, a photographer in Paris.  She curates some of the best Etsy treasuries I have seen. She has such a superior eye for creating her collections.  I wanted to share her most recent on my blog, because it is so beautiful.  I also am honored to be included with one of my Giclee Prints in the collection, Your Dreams Matter.
