I REALLY love you

I really enjoy it when people who have bought my prints send me photos of how they are using my art prints.  I was really excited when I was recently sent this image from Kimberly, who did an amazing photo shoot with her incredibly sweet little girl and the print she recently purchased from UUPP.   I have to give a shout out to Kimberly and her shop Simplicity Couture.  My girls are teenagers now but if they were young, I would absolutely HAVE to have some of these darling clothes that she designs.  (I am not being paid to promote her shop. I just want to recognize some amazing talent when I see it  :) Enjoy.

Lovely Autumn....

Fall is hands down my favorite time of year.  There is so much about fall that stimulates the senses. Between the nice cool crisp weather,

the sound of stepping on dry leaves,

the smell of a campfire, to all the amazing fall foods to make.

There is something magical about it. The colors of course are very inspiring. The autumn color palette is one of my favorites. I designed a new print and note cards today, simply because the inspiration hit.  Here are some of my favorite things about fall.

Wine Ice Cream

I enjoy an occasional glass of wine. My favorite being a glass of Pinot Grigio along with smoked gouda cheese.  Recently on my annul trip to the Minnesota State Fair a few weeks ago, I came across something wonderful.  Wine ice cream.  Oh yum. I am going to say that again...oh yum!  It was divine. Cordial cherry ice cream with some red port wine.  I savored every bite. Unfortunately it isn't available for purchase anywhere except at the fair.  I will certainly be back next year and waiting in line for another scoop.  So yum it was, it inspired me to make a new print.  Happy Monday.....

In Love ........

I am always looking and raving about beautiful things and colors that catch my eye. I have been secretly pining over a new Kitchen Aid mixer that would give my kitchen that perfect color splash.  I do have a Kitchen Aid mixer in white, that my mother bought for me when I graduated from college.  I have since gone through different color longings for my future Kitchen Aid mixer.

Phase 1: First there was the Red phase.  So lovely, bright and shiny, just like the perfect apple.
Hmm... possibly too dramatic for me though.

Red phase ended and then I moved on to the Robins Egg Blue phase. Perky, light and absolutely divine.  This would be perfect in my kitchen. It seems to say, I am a very happy person.

Then the Apple Green phase hit me quite hard. This color makes me smile. This seems to tell everyone I make awesome things in this kitchen. Nothing could top my love for this Kitchen Aid mixer....

..... except for my absolute obsession with all things PINK this year.  Pretty isn't she?  I would feel as lovely as Audrey Hepburn if I made my cupcakes and 6-layer cakes in this pretty machine. I may even wear my heels while I bake.

And now how perfect will my sweet kitchen be when my future pink Kitchen Aid mixer gets to finally meet my already purchased pink Kitchen Aid food processor. They can sit on the same counter, be friends and just radiate prettiness.  Sigh....

Final Phase?  I am still stunned by finding yet another new pretty machine that has stolen my heart and possibly replaced the Pretty Pink. How can this be? RASPBERRY!  Just divine isn't it.
Yes, this beauty is on the top of my list now, (for now) Until something even lovelier comes along....

Wisdom from Coco Chanel

When I read this quote, " A girl should be two things:  classy and fabulous",  from the lovely, Coco Chanel, I pictured immediately how I would design the following new print. I like pretty things, elegance, and lately my new favorite is pink. A perfect pairing for a Coco Chanel quote.  I have been giddy waiting for the right time to design this...so happy to unveil it.

BELIEVE you can

I received this photo of one of my art prints,  "BELIEVE you can and you will" sent from Mallory with the following message:

" I put this in my kitchen to remind me everyday to
stay positive and keep going while my husband is
                                     deployed...yet again"

Her message made me stop and almost cry.  What a strong woman. I have such a deep respect for members of our military and their equally strong families.  God bless them.   Thank you so much for sharing this Mallory.
